Dr DeFilippis is a highly regarded, fully trained oral surgeon who has been caring for the needs of the Westchester community and its environs for more than 25 years. Dino M. DeFilippis, D.D.S.
Dr Dino M. DeFilippis received his dental degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1986. He graduated with honours and was admitted to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honour society. He received numerous awards including the Herbert J. Bartelstone Award in Pharmacology, the Van Woert Scholarship Award, the American Academy of Oral Pathology Award and the New York Board of Oral Surgery Award.
Dr DeFilippis received his speciality training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at
New York Medical College/Metropolitan Hospital Center from 1986 to 1989, serving as chief resident of the program from 1988 to 1989.
Dr DeFilippis is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Ninth District Dental Society, the New Rochelle Dental Forum, The Westchester Shore Dental Forum and the New York Academy of Dentistry.
Dr DeFilippis is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Columbia University, along with being on staff as an Assistant Attending at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He provides clinical teaching to dental students as well as oral and maxillofacial surgery and dental residents. This association with a world-class teaching institution allows Dr DeFilippis to stay abreast of innovations in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr DeFilippis has been serving the New Rochelle/Westchester Shore community at his present location for the past 17 years. He and his wife have been happily married for 25 years and have a wonderful son currently away at college.
